Third Annual “Who’s Your Daddy?” Concert for Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month

They have all performed in “Who’s Your Daddy?” concerts, and several have called it one of their all-time favorite performing experiences. “Who’s Your Daddy?” is a concert featuring local musician “dads” performing with their talented offspring. There’s something about the legacy of music passed from one generation to the next, and the feeling of family that envelops the audience that sets this show apart.

Mark your calendar and plan to join us on Father’s Day eve, June 17th at Mullaney’s Harp and Fiddle for this year’s edition of Who’s Your Daddy? Proceeds benefit the free patient support services of Myasthenia Gravis Association of Western Pennsylvania, an organization founded 62 years ago, by a father out of concern for his daughter who had just been diagnosed with MG.

 This year’s musician dads include Jim Donovan (Rusted Root, Sun King Warriors) with daughters Ella and Tupelo, John Vento (Nied’s Hotel Band) with daughter Alaina, Maddie Arnold with dad Mitch( both from Tullycavy), Billy Strathmann with dad Bill, and a rare performance by The Gallagher Brothers, (Mike Gallagher and his three brothers).

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 day of show and can be purchased at the Harp & Fiddle, MGA of WPA (call 412-566-1545) or online at www.buytickets.at/mgawpa Doors open at 7:00pm and music starts promptly at 7:30pm.The concert is for ages 21 and over.

June is National Myasthenia Gravis Awareness month. Myasthenia Gravis is a neuromuscular disease that causes extreme weakness of the voluntary muscles. MG can make seeing, walking, smiling or even breathing, very difficult.  There is no known cause or cure, but there is hope through accurate diagnosis, treatment, and continued research.
