Second Annual “Who’s Your Daddy?” Concert for Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month

“Who’s Your Daddy?” is a concert featuring local musician “dads” performing with their talented offspring, to benefit the Myasthenia Gravis Association of Western PA (MGA), an organization founded 61 years ago by a father out of concern for his young daughter who had recently been diagnosed with MG. The concert is slated for Saturday, June 18th (Father’s Day Eve) at the Pittsburgh Winery and features Dublin, Ireland’s  Mark Dignam with son Cian and daughter Grainne, Mark Hohman with daughter Leah and son Nick, Ben Valasek with daughter Isabel, Luke Gallagher with dad Dan, AND a special performance by Sugar Daddy and the Big-Boned Girls, locally famous for their annual sold out Valentine’s Day Spectacular at Club Caféwho will perform a variety of America’s favorite standards. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door and can be purchased online at www.pittsburghwinery.com. Doors open at 8:00pm and music starts at 8:30pm.The concert is for ages 21 and over, but features performers as young as 7 and artists representing a diverse selection of music genres including Americana, folk, jazz, R & B and Celtic – truly something for everyone! Proceeds benefit MGA’s free patient support services.

Myasthenia Gravis is a neuromuscular disease that causes extreme weakness of the voluntary muscles. MG can make seeing, walking, smiling or even breathing, very difficult.  There is no known cause or cure, but there is hope through accurate diagnosis, treatment, and continued research.
