Job Training for Beaver County seeking Adult/Dislocated Worker Case Manager

  1. Major Functions:

Coordinate Adult, Dislocated Worker enrollment into intensive and training activities and services and perform case management for customers through participation and follow up period. Provide core services in the CareerLink resource center. Must be familiar with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

  1. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:

Interview customers, assist with career exploration, administer and coordinate use of assessment tools as needed (vocational interest, temperaments, work attitudes and Compute A Match). Prepare (jointly with customers) a written plan (which can be justified) to obtain employment.

Contact or visit customers and subcontractors and maintain an up to date record of activities and development throughout participation and follow up period. Monitor the customer’s and subcontractor’s performance in training and employment programs and assist in resolving problems that may occur. Document customer activities by entering in computer database and/or written file records. Perform core services in the CareerLink Resource center routinely. May conduct workshops such as, but not limited to PREP or Introduction to Computers.

Maintain knowledge of other human service agencies to make referrals that will aid in the accomplishment of customer goals (example: Childcare Choices, BCTA, as well as CareerLink partners, etc.) while participating in JTBC programs or in lieu of JTBC program.

 

Must be up to date with program rules and regulations and changes as they occur. Also must be familiar with computer software and other assessment instruments. Maintain records for reporting purposes and provide accurate monthly reports to the Program Manager.

 

  1. Experience Necessary/Learning Period:

Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent related experience. Six (6) month training period.

 

  1. Additional Information:

May work on other projects as necessary and appropriate for position as assigned by management. Willing to travel to conferences and workshops as may be required. Must have reliable car and valid driver’s license. Reports to the Program Manager or designee.
