This program addresses the material needs of families and individuals. Food assistance may be in the form of food pantry items for consumption at home, congregate feeding at Soup Kitchens and children’s Summer Lunch program. Warm winter clothing, utility assistance, a night’s lodging, toys at Christmas or service at a disaster by the Emergency Disaster team are other types of assistance provided under the program.
The Salvation Army maintains a variety of development activities at the following Corps: Beaver Falls, Aliquippa and Rochester. “Club” groups for elementary, junior and senior high age youngsters give opportunity for youth to develop leadership, plan and implement activities for the group’s interest, work through conflicts and develop healthy peer relationships. We have added a game room for after school activities in Beaver Falls.
