The United Way of Beaver County will begin its 2014 – 2015 Campaign Drive with a new Executive Director. Michael J. Rubino has taken over for the retiring Bruce Simmeth. Mr. Simmeth was executive director for 23 years.
Rubino comes to the United Way with over 33 years of business and fundraising experience. Most recently he was the Executive Director for Advancement at Quigley Catholic High School. During his tenure at Quigley Catholic, Rubino increased development funds by over 300%.
A major objective in his new position will be to raise the awareness to the general public about the United Way of Beaver County through technology, community involvement and public relations. A new website is already in development, www.unitedwaybeaver.org , soon to be followed by a Facebook page.
The United Way of Beaver County has been helping those in need since 1960.
