Funding Year 2027
Instructions for Eligibility Determination and Application Completion
In an effort to meet the changing and priority needs of the residents of Beaver County, United Way of Beaver County (UWBC) is implementing a new funding model, the Community Impact Model, for awarding funds for the 2027 Funding Year.
The process to be considered for funding in 2027 will entail a two-step process and will begin in the 2nd quarter of 2026. Non-profit organizations (that have been granted a 501(c)(3) designation, who serve residents of Beaver County, and who have been operational for at least 12 months) that provide services that fit under one or more of our Community Impact Pillars (please review the Community Impact Pillars in this document), are welcome to submit an Expression of Interest Application no later than May 31, 2026. Late entrants will not be considered. These Applications will be evaluated by the UWBC Board of Directors and staff for initial consideration for funding. A group of these applicants will be invited to submit a full application for 2027 funding in late summer (deadline to be determined), and will be provided with details regarding the second step of the application process. Those who have not been invited to continue the process will also be informed of our decision.
If you are applying for more than one program, you must submit a separate, complete Expression of Interest Application. All applicants must include responses to all questions. Failure to answer any question may result in the application not being considered for advancement.
Note that an invitation to submit a full application for 2027 funding is not a guarantee of funding, but rather an opportunity to demonstrate further the capabilities of the agency to serve the needs of the residents of Beaver County. Funding in all situations will be awarded only for one year and will be dependent upon meeting all of the contractual and reporting requirements of the United Way of Beaver County.
Applicants must be insured and certified as noted in this application, providing services in Beaver County within the context of the established priority Community Impact Pillars. Organizations that will not be considered for funding, even if a 501(c)(3), include, but are not limited to: political organizations, environmental organizations, emergency response organizations, government entities (unless 501(c)(3) equivalents), individual church organizations, civic organizations, those raising funds for specific individuals, capital campaigns, fundraising events, medical research, youth sports, school-related clubs, or membership-based organizations. However, if one of these types of organizations have a separate 501(c)(3) organization that is providing services falling under a Community Impact Pillar, that organization may submit an application for consideration. Applicants outside of those listed here may be disqualified at the discretion of the UWBC Board of Directors.
